I do realize that after I publish this you might never come back to reading me. This is about food writers. For me they are incredible and inspiring. Reading and watching them I found my passion for food. I read them when I’m happy for ideas. I read when I’m sad for support. I hope once I’ll meet each of them personally.
Nigella Lawson is a British food writer. She passionately cooks for her kids and friends. Even more importantly – she loves to cook for herself and eat. She is so pretty that I spend hours watching her shows on Youtube. Next I really want to read her “How to eat” book and I hope my dad will give it to me as a birthday present.
Jamie Oliver is also British. He is a famous chef and once I’ll go to one of his restaurants. I loved his “My Italy” book about Italian family cooking. Now I am watching his “Food revolution” and “Jamie at home” shows. I’m late, I know. He makes me want to cook fresh and humble home food and chat in the family kitchen. His iPhone app is also really cute. I used it before I lost my iPhone.
David Lebovitz is Paris food writer. I learned about him last year when I was also living in France. He is a chef from the states who moved several years ago. His “Sweet life in Paris” book is amazing. So are his sweet recipes and his blog about Paris. I was so angry at France after my first several months there. Nothing worked as I thought it should. David’s book made me see I didn’t understand this country at all. I ended up enjoying my Paris time. I wish once I will attend one of his Paris tours.
Julia Child. Yes, I learned about her from the movie Julia and Julia. I’m still reading her “My life in France”. I find it a beautiful love story. I wish I were as kind and simple as she was. I’ll probably have to ask my dad for “Mastering the art of French cooking” for my next birthday.

Oh, thanks so much for drawing my attention to Claudia Roden. Just started her Middle Eastern food. I'm loving it! Aglaia's blog also looks wonderful to me. I hope so much, one day, when time comes :)
